Frequently Asked Questions  


1. When will my order ship out?

All orders will ship out in 1 to 5 business days depending on inventory at our factory. Any 2nd Day delivery order placed on Thursday or any order placed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will ship the following Monday.


2. What if I need my order on a specific date?

Please specify in the comment section at check out when you will need the order to arrive. In order to guarantee the date, please choose 2nd day or next delivery as the shipping method. For Saturday deliveries an extra fee will apply. Please call us at 1-800-888-8742 to arrange a Saturday delivery.


3. What is the shelf life on the chocolate?

The shelf life on all of our chocolate except the truffles is approximately 2-3 months. The truffles only last 7 days and have to be kept refrigerated.


4. Allergy Concerns regarding Nuts, Gluten and Milk.

Nut allergy concerns: We work with nuts so there could be traces in any of our products.


Milk allergy concerns: There is no milk ingredient in our solid dark chocolate, however we do work with milk so there could be traces in any chocolate product we make.


Gluten (wheat) allergy concerns: We do not have any actual gluten in our chocolate, however we do work with cookies which contain the ingredient so there could be traces in any of our products.


5. Do you offer sugar free chocolate?

We currently offer a no sugar added dark chocolate truffle and dark chocolate bar. Just like all of our truffles, the sugar free truffles must also be kept refrigerated.


6. What is the sugar substitute in your sugar free chocolate?

The sugar substitute is Malitol.


7. What delivery carrier do you use for shipments?

We use UPS.


8. How are the shipping charges determined?

Shipping charges are dependent on the zip code and climate of the order destination as well as the total spent per an order shipped.


9. Do I have to sign for the package at the time of delivery?

We do not require a signature for our shipments. If the recipient is not home, then UPS will leave the package only if they feel it is a safe location. You may also specify in the comment section at check out that no signature is required.


10. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship outside of the United States. We ship with UPS Worldwide Express and the shipping rates begin at $100 depending on the address.


11. How do I know if my order has been shipped?

Once an order is shipped, you will receive an email notification. You may also log into your account and view the assigned tracking # by going to the tab “my account” and then click on “view the orders I have made”. At this page you may select the order and then view the tracking #.


12. Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

No. UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes; therefore we will need a physical street address.


13. Do I receive a discount if I spend a certain amount or order large quantities?

Discounts are dependent on the order total. Discounts start at $750. Please call 1-800-888-8742 for more details.


14. Will there be tax on my order?

Sales tax will only be added to shipments that are shipping within the state of Connecticut.


15. What are your retail hours?

In our Brookfield Factory Store the hours are Monday thru Friday 9am – 6pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm. In our West Hartford Retail Store the hours are Monday 12pm – 6pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 10am – 6pm, Thursday and Friday 10am – 7pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday 12pm – 4pm. Please call for Special Holiday Hours.


16. Do you offer wedding or party favors?

18. What credit cards do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards; Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.


19. Do you gift-wrap?

We can gift wrap our chocolate boxes with our beautiful gold ribbon for an additional $2.25.


20. Do you offer tours of the factory?

We no longer offer tours do to the liability involved with non-employees entering our factory.


21. How many pieces are in a 1/2lb, 1lb or 2lb assortment box?

There is approximately 20 pieces per pound.

1/2lb (approx. 10 pieces), 1lb (approx. 20 pieces) and 2lb (approx. 40 pieces)
